Acoustician
Location:
Remote (North Texas preferred); Travel will be required
Position Overview:
The Acoustician role will support the design and analysis of room acoustics, mechanical and architectural noise control, and environmental sound review. This role is ideal for a motivated early-career professional with a strong technical foundation and a passion for how sound shapes human experience. The candidate will work closely with senior consultants, gaining exposure to all phases of projects and the many sides of acoustical consulting while contributing directly to design and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in acoustical calculations and modeling for a variety of project types.
- Support the development of sketches, modeling, and reports under senior staff direction.
- Conduct acoustical testing and field measurements in a variety of building types.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design team members to coordinate solutions.
- Participate in site visits, construction administration, and project meetings.
- Contribute to firm knowledge through continuing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field with relevant coursework.
- Interest in architecture, building design, or performance environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with drafting tools (Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with acoustical modeling software (e.g., EASE, Odeon) or environmental sound propagation software (e.g. SoundPLAN, CADNA) preferred but not required.
- Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow within a new and dynamic firm.

Theatre Designer (Early-Mid Career)

Remote (Texas preferred); Travel will be required
Position Overview:
The Theatre Designer will support the planning, design, and execution of performing arts projects, ensuring theatres and performance spaces are both artistically inspiring and technically robust. This role is ideal for a motivated early-mid career professional with a strong technical foundation and a passion for theatrical spaces. The candidate will work closely with others, gaining exposure to all phases of projects and the many sides of theatrical design and consulting while contributing directly to design and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in theatre design and consulting for performance spaces of varying scale and complexity.
- Support the development of room layouts, stage configurations, backstage and support spaces, seating, and sightline studies.
- Coordinate theatre systems with architects, engineers, and other team members.
- Participate in site visits, construction administration, and project meetings.
- Contribute to firm knowledge through continuing professional development.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional experience in theatre consulting, production management, or theatre designer in a related field.
- Knowledge of theatre planning, theatrical systems design (lighting, rigging, and performance support).
- Interest in architecture, building design, or performance environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Revit/AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and ability to interpret architectural documentation.
- Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow within a new and dynamic firm.
