Acoustician

Remote (North Texas preferred); Travel will be required 

The Acoustician role will support the design and analysis of room acoustics, mechanical and architectural noise control, and environmental sound review. This role is ideal for a motivated early-career professional with a strong technical foundation and a passion for how sound shapes human experience. The candidate will work closely with senior consultants, gaining exposure to all phases of projects and the many sides of acoustical consulting while contributing directly to design and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in acoustical calculations and modeling for a variety of project types.
  • Support the development of sketches, modeling, and reports under senior staff direction.
  • Conduct acoustical testing and field measurements in a variety of building types.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other design team members to coordinate solutions.
  • Participate in site visits, construction administration, and project meetings.
  • Contribute to firm knowledge through continuing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field with relevant coursework.
  • Interest in architecture, building design, or performance environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with drafting tools (Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with acoustical modeling software (e.g., EASE, Odeon) or environmental sound propagation software (e.g. SoundPLAN, CADNA) preferred but not required.
  • Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow within a new and dynamic firm.

Sound and Audio/Visual (AV) Systems Designer

Remote (South Central US preferred); Travel will be required

The Sound and AV Designer will contribute to the design and documentation of sound and audio/visual systems. This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, creative problem solving, and collaborative communication. The ideal candidate is motivated by the opportunity to create meaningful designs and influence the culture of a growing firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, specify, and document audio/visual systems for a variety of project types (corporate, education, performance, civic, cultural).
  • Produce drawings, diagrams, and specifications that communicate system intent and integration.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and other consultants to deliver coordinated, high-quality designs.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop user-driven solutions.
  • Participate in construction administration: submittal review, site visits, punch lists.
  • Contribute to firm standards, templates, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in Sound and AV system design (consulting or integrator background).
  • Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office suite and other design/documentation tools. EASE experience is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Sound and AV systems: audio, video, control, conferencing, networking.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Video Production (VP) Systems Designer

Remote (South Central US preferred); Travel will be required

The Video Production Systems Designer will lead the design, documentation, and integration of professional video production and broadcast systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, creative problem solving, and the ability to coordinate with diverse project teams. The ideal candidate is motivated by the opportunity to influence workflows, mentor others, and contribute to establishing the identity of a growing firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, specify, and document video production, recording, streaming, and broadcast systems.
  • Develop system drawings, diagrams, and specifications that communicate design intent.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, AV designers, and clients to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Conduct needs assessments and create client-driven workflows for production environments.
  • Participate in construction administration: review submittals, conduct site inspections, provide punch lists.
  • Contribute to developing firm standards, templates, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience designing or operating video production/broadcast systems.
  • Strong knowledge of video production equipment, routing, signal distribution, and streaming technologies.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office suite and other design/documentation tools.
  • Experience with IP-based production workflows, live streaming platforms, and recording/archival systems.
  • LED video displays and integration knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
